In 2015 IDC was commissioned by Aurizon to design the refurbishment of the Engineers Building Boddington Street Mackay which included and new office fitout and base building facilities upgrade
The building was built in the 1970’s aside of the original railway station platform
The brief was to update the interiors so it aligned with the 175 Eagle Street Brisbane Head Office standard in palette & planning methodology
The base building upgrade included new ceiling system | new floor & wall finishes | new lighting | data & AC distribution
The workplace comprises thirty 120 degree workstations with two support meeting facilities close to the entry as well as a small breakout area off the open plan
The base building WC areas where also refurbished as a part of the upgrade
The planning is open & collaborative & the palette is warm and reflects the Aurizon Branding
